WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH:
LETTERPRESS PRINTING with GRANJA GRAFICA & SHOWUSYOURTYPE.
In this practical workshop we will begin to understand the fundamentals of letterpress printing with wood type in a cylinder proof press. Participants will learn how to handset type, mix ink, adjust pressure, troubleshooting type and press issues and the essentials of this antique printing technique.
We will work in groups leaving behind the computer and getting our hands in action as the old craftmen did. Trying different papers, colors and textures we will spend the day playing with letters and ink.
The posters that are produced during the workshop will be showcased at OFFF main venue (DHUB) during Friday and Saturday.
Capacity: Limited to 8 people.
Requirements: Come with a phrase that you like to print to share it with the group.
